COMPASSIONATE & PRACTICAL SUPPORT WHEN YOU NEED IT THE MOST

Losing someone you love is hard enough.

The last thing you need is the overwhelm of sorting through belongings, managing accounts, and coordinating next steps—especially when you're grieving.

I offer the kind of support I wish I’d had when I lost my own parents. That experience changed everything for me—and it’s why I’m so passionate about walking with others through the chaos and complexity that can follow a loss.

After Loss Support at a Glance

I provide compassionate, hands-on help to support executors or family members managing the practical and logistical tasks of closing out a life. From clearing out the home to notifying agencies and organizing paperwork, I’ll help carry the load, so you don’t have to do it all alone.

I work in partnership with your attorney and other trusted professionals—focusing on the day-to-day logistics while they handle the legal and financial matters. This collaborative approach ensures nothing slips through the cracks and helps you move forward with less stress and more peace of mind.

I’ve completed the PALS 6-week training program for After-Loss Professionals, and bring a deeply personal commitment to every family I work with.

IMMEDIATELY AFTER LOSS

The days after a loss can feel like a fog of decisions and to-dos. I help lighten the load with compassionate, practical support—so the essential details don’t fall through the cracks.

  • Liaison Services:  Coordinate with the funeral home, florist, and other vendors to ease the communication burden on your family.
  • Estate Organizing:  Assist with locating, sorting, and organizing important paperwork to simplify next steps and reduce overwhelm.
  • Companion Services:  Offer support by attending appointments with you or simply being there when you don’t want to go alone.
  • Helping You Rally Support: Whether it’s family, friends, or outside professionals, I’ll help you pull together the right people so you’re not carrying it all alone.
  • Notary Services:  Mobile Notary services for important legal documents and estate paperwork. (Available in Hampton Roads: Chesapeake, Norfolk, Virginia Beach)

AFTER THE FUNERAL

Once the service is over, the next phase begins—and it’s often where overwhelm really sets in. I provide steady, hands-on help to manage the home, the paperwork, and the moving parts.

  • Estate Project Management:   Assist with to-dos like canceling services, notifying agencies, and organizing paperwork,—working in tandem with your attorney.

  • Clearing Out the Home:   Help sort belongings, coordinate family distribution, handle donations, and manage estate sale or clean-out logistics.

  • Estate Asset Inventory: Create a detailed inventory of tangible personal property to support probate, fair distribution, and legal documentation.

  • Home Watch:  Keep an eye on vacant homes, checking for leaks or issues until the home is sold or transitioned.

  • Technology Assistance:  Offer guidance on what to do with digital accounts and devices after a loss—such as how to locate login information, update security settings, or begin the process of memorializing or closing social media profiles.

  • Vendor Coordination: Manage communication with third-party service providers (cleaners, realtors, contractors, etc.) to ensure everything stays on track.

Assembling Your Support Team

Settling an estate takes more than paperwork—it takes the right people. While I focus on the day-to-day logistics, I’ll also help you build a team of trusted professionals to handle the legal, financial, and real estate details.

If you need an estate attorney, financial advisor, realtor, or estate sale expert, I can connect you with experienced professionals I know and trust—people who show up with the same care and competence I bring to every client.
